Valuation Process
Explore our comprehensive Valuation Services, offering precise assessments for a wide range of assets.
1. Initial Consultation
When you contact JS Valuations, the first step is to understand your specific needs. Whether you need a valuation for financing, insurance, estate settlement, or any other purpose, we start by confirming the reason for the valuation. During this initial contact, we will discuss exactly what assets or properties you need to have valued and provide you with a detailed quote. We will also gather all necessary documentation from you at this time, such as title deeds, invoices, bond details, etc., to ensure that our valuation is comprehensive and tailored to your specific requirements.
2. Scheduling the Inspection
Once the client’s requirements are clear, we schedule an in-person inspection at a time that suits the client. This ensures we gather all the necessary information first-hand for an accurate valuation.
3. On-site Inspection
We coordinate closely with you to schedule the on-site inspection at a time that fits your schedule, ensuring our calendars align. Our professional valuators make sure they have full access to the property or assets, conducting inductions where necessary, such as at mining sites. During the inspection, our experts meticulously measure the property, assess the condition of structures, review zoning laws and servitudes, and evaluate the operational status of any machinery, vehicles, or trucks involved. This thorough examination helps us ensure that every factor affecting value is carefully considered.
4. Data Collection and Research
After the inspection, we collect additional market data, review historical trends, and consider comparable assets or properties to ensure our valuation reflects current market conditions.
5. Analysis and Calculation
Our valuators apply industry-standard methodologies to determine the fair market value of the asset. This process includes considering any potential depreciation, economic factors, or unique characteristics of the asset.
6. Report Compilation
The timeline for delivering your valuation report can vary depending on the complexity and volume of the assets involved. For movable assets, you can expect to receive your report within two days to two weeks (depending on the number of assets and the complexity of the report). For real estate valuations, the process can take anywhere from one week to a month, depending on the size and specifics of the property. Each report includes detailed findings and is crafted to be used for the specific purpose you require, whether it’s financing, legal proceedings, or market analysis.
7. Client Review
Once the report is complete, we provide it to the client for review. Our team is available to discuss the valuation, answer any questions, and make any clarifications needed.
8. Follow-Up and Finalization
After the client has reviewed the report, we conclude the valuation process by finalizing any outstanding queries and ensuring the client is fully satisfied with the service provided.
